Director Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking) brings Hugh Jackman (Van Helsing) to the screen as Gary Hart, former candidate for the U.S. Presidency and media punching bag. Backed with an impressive cast and lacking the typical Reitman soundtrack, this movie exists - for some reason.
Director James Mangold (The Wolverine) delivers the gnarliest, dingiest, most violent, and expletive-filled Wolverine movie yet in Logan. Hugh Jackman returns 17 years (!) after he first took on the role to send Logan off in style. He is joined by the impeccable Sir Patrick Stewart and a host of soon-to-be-mauled-to-death bad guys.
This week's movie was released in 2006, stars Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson, features a stage magician, and is NOT The Prestige. The guys discussed that film back on Episode 16 and discovered this little-seen Woody Allen picture in the process. This murder-investigation-comedy features a journalist who escapes death's clutches, Scarlett Johansson in a swimsuit, and two character actors from Game of Thrones. Also, Woody Allen plays a neurotic, nebbishy guy who mumbles and rambles - what a departure!
